Annie and Hollyoaks mentioned in Scottish Parliamentary Motion

Annie Wallace Nominated for Scottish BAFTAs
That the Parliament congratulates Annie Wallace on becoming the first transgender actor to be nominated for the Scottish BAFTAs; understands that Annie, who grew up in the heart of Aberdeen, has played the character of Sally St Claire since October 2015 on the well-established Channel 4 soap, Hollyoaks; notes that she has also received recognition at the National Diversity Awards, at which she was named the Celebrity of the Year; commends all efforts taken to promote diversity and equality, and wishes Annie every success at the Scottish BAFTAs, which take place on 6 November 2016.”
