Annie’s first British Soap Awards

British+Soap+Awards+2016+Red+Carpet+Arrivals+FnVaxyJlPRJlAnnie was down in London last weekend for the British Soap Awards; her first ever visit!

“I’ve watched the soap awards since they began in 1999, cheering on my Coronation Street friends, and celebrating their victories privately”, she said, “but this time, I got to go myself – as a Hollyoaks cast member!

I was very nervous at the huge press and public attention that the event generates, but had the support of my castmates on hand to help me relax a bit – most were as nervous as me! I travelled to the venue, the Hackney Empire, with the lovely Nicole Barber-Lane, who plays Sally’s old friend (and John Paul’s mum), Myra McQueen.

Back in Manchester, it all seems like a bit of a dream, and although Hollyoaks didn’t win as many awards as we’d hoped, it was still a great event and experience. Can’t wait for next year!”

Annie is nominated for two other awards this year. You can vote for her using the links below!
