Hollyoaks star Annie Wallace updates fans on filming amid new lockdown

From Digital Spy – 6th January 2021

Hollyoaks actress Annie Wallace has shared a filming update following new lockdown restrictions in the UK.

Tweeting yesterday (January 5), the Sally St Claire star wrote to her followers: “First day of 2021 back at work today at House of @Hollyoaks. Our stringent anti-COVID policies and procedures work well, and I certainly feel safe there.

“I know we, and the other soaps, are lucky in this respect.”

After reading this, Annie’s fans were glad to hear she was in good hands and that the soap is still able to film.

“So pleased. Must be great to be back at work and a relief to feel safe there. Also good news to us viewers that we’ll still see you on our screens x,” shared one individual.

Another viewer commented: “I am very glad you felt safe, it’s good to know Hollyoaks are doing all they can to make you feel safe!”

This positive update comes after Emmerdale‘s executive producer Jane Hudson promised soap fans that the Yorkshire Dales drama will continue shooting during lockdown with all necessary safety protocols in place.

Coronation Street and EastEnders have also previously indicated that filming will continue in accordance with government COVID guidelines.
